![]() Mint is correct that this is an issue with PayPal's feed and it's breaking Mint's parsing. Mint truncates most of it down but you can see it all in Yodlee. The type, the email/name, transaction id, and the PayPal fee for the transaction. The description field that PayPal is sending has about 4 fields in combined into one. I added PayPal to a Yodlee Moneċenter account (which uses it's own account information fetcher) and I ran into the exact same problem - it's actually more apparent on Yodlee. Mint engineers confirmed that this is an issue with PayPal's account feed. I am trying to move the discussion about this from a Mint forum thread here since Mint engineers are claiming PayPal's description field formatting is the source of the problem. Supposedly PayPal is not using these fields according to standards making it difficult for Mint to appropriately categorize. With PayPal however, most transactions are falsely categorized as "Entertainment" with the description "PurchaseTix". It uses a set of fields from every transaction to determine the description and type of transaction. ![]() Mint automatically extracts a description and categorizes transations very well for most banks. I also love my PayPal Debit card! I just wish they played a little nicer with each other. I love using to track my income, spending and transations between bank accounts. ![]()
